Senior Broadcast Engineer

This exciting position will provide Broadcast Engineering support to Nova 96.9 and Vega 95.3 and dmg Radio.

We are seeking applications from dynamic and experienced people for the position of Senior Broadcast Engineer. You will be able to;

·  Work with a talented Broadcasting and IT team who are passionate about what and how they do things the best

·  Be part of a innovative and ground breaking radio business where Engineering is core to this success


In particular you will be responsible for;

·  Management and repair of all station broadcast equipment including FM transmitters, Microwave STL’s, Digital Audio Routing systems and broadcast playout systems

·  Design installation and documentation of all studio, transmission and computing infrastructure

·  Maintenance of all studio, transmission and computing equipment

·  Participate in the 24 hour on call roster/stand by for emergencies

·  Assist with the design and construction of engineering projects and new facilities both locally and nationally

·  Manage the set up, installation and operation of external broadcasts and outside events

·  Maintain cleanliness of all technical areas, facilities and equipment

·  Continual training to keep up with the latest technologies in Broadcast and IT.


The skills and knowledge required for the position are as follows:

·  A BCOP, Electronic Technician or Radio Trades Certificate

·  Broadcast and Transmission expertise

·  Microsoft Windows Operating System – 2000, XP – MS Office Suite all versions and Mac OS-X

·  Hardware and Software troubleshooting

·  Microsoft Server Systems – 2000 and 2003

·  PC peripherals

·  TCP/IP data and communications protocols

·  Exceptional customer service skills

·  Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills

·  Effective time management skills

·  Knowledge of all Simpson’s episodes including the Halloween specials
