Journalist
National Radio News is a highly regarded public news service. NRN produces and broadcasts around one hundred ‘live’ bulletins each week from its studios at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, NSW. NRN is networked to every state and territory in Australia.
As part of the expansion of its service, NRN is seeking to appoint suitably qualified persons to the position of Newsroom Journalist. The newsroom journalist is responsible for assisting in researching, writing and reading the hourly bulletin. Responsibilities also include acting as shift producer when designated, assisting with supervision and training of cadet journalists, and general newsroom administration.
Applicants should have good journalistic skills, supervisory experience, knowledge of radio newsroom technical systems and ability to work in a team environment. Ideally applicants will also have the ability to work with print and on-line mediums.
