Austereo is one of Australia’s most innovative and exciting entertainment-based media companies boasting iconic radio brands such as Today and Triple M.

Our Traffic team in Sydney wants to build a TALENT BANK of potential Commercial Schedulers with a view of filling upcoming roles in the not too distant future.

We’re not just looking for people with prior experience in media scheduling. These roles would also suit individuals who’re currently working in a business support capacity or as Administrators/Coordinators of some description.

So what do Commercial Schedulers do? Well, the next time you’re listening to an ad on radio, keep in mind that its exact placement is having a big impact on its overall effectiveness. As a Commercial Scheduler at Austereo, you’ll work closely with Traffic Managers and Sales staff to schedule commercials for both the Today and Triple M networks, making sure they go to air correctly and on time, thereby maximising the results of our treasured clients.

Energy and enthusiasm, a positive attitude, a solid work ethic and superb attention to detail are some of the things we’re looking for in YOU. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential. Along with the rest of the team, you’ll also be willing to put in extra hours during peak periods, which includes Friday nights.

On the job training will be provided.

We’ll also provide you with a vibrant work environment and lots of opportunities for training and development to help you grow your career in media.

Join our talent bank now by sending your résumé and cover letter to: Careers At Austereo  quoting 042-10 in the subject line. If we think you might be a good fit, we’ll be in touch!

We’re accepting submissions until the end of July 2010.
