Applications are invited for this position
based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, with travel to
Canberra.
Media issues, research, speech writing, event
organisation and management, co-ordination of special projects and
some challenging constituent work is involved.
It is expected the successful applicant will
have tertiary qualifications in communication, journalism or public
relations.
Experience is required in a broad range of
media, including web, social media (YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter,
Myspace, Blogs), radio, television and print.
Still and video photographic skills are
essential and camera/editing ability would be a distinct
advantage.
High motivation, good time management skills,
ability to prioritise a high number of tasks in a short amount of
time, initiative and a willingness to be involved in the community
is required.
Starting salary is $82776 (including electorate
staff allowance in lieu of overtime) depending on experience and
suitability. Nightly travelling allowance of $243 is paid in
Canberra.
Reasonable relocation expenses for a successful
applicant may be met and there is a 3 month probation period.
