Austereo, one of Australia’s most innovative and exciting entertainment-based media companies, is looking for a highly talented On-Air Announcer / Assistant Music Director to join the team at Adelaide’s Triple M.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the station’s strategic objectives are achieved through tactical planning and effective execution. Working closely with the Content Director, you’ll be responsible for a range of on-air (and off-air) projects aimed at the delivery of compelling and well-targeted content to our treasured listeners. By maintaining a constant flow of creative ideas and integrating them into the station’s shows, you’ll help ensure that only fresh and relevant content goes to air and our target audience is kept happy. You’ll also ensure that what does go to air complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Make no mistake – we’re looking for the best! As the successful candidate, you’ll:

·         Be an experienced On-Air Announcer / AMD with a proven track record in commercial radio (preferably in a metropolitan or major regional centre)

·         Have excellent Selector skills and the ability to build a perfect day’s log

·         Be able to relate to a 35-plus demographic (an extensive knowledge of music from the 80s to the present day will be considered a definite advantage)

·         Have a distinctive on-air presence that will appeal to Triple M listeners

·         Be someone who’s always on top of their game when it comes to current affairs, pop culture and local events

·         Be a reliable and results-driven individual who’s able to multitask and work effectively under pressure

·         Be an inspirational team player with excellent communication skills

·         Have a solid understanding of Commercial Radio Australia’s Codes of Practice and Broadcasting Standards
