Hooper said “Radar

the air time!”.

Radar was launched
in December 2008 as Southern Cross Austereo’s third national network
and was Australia’s first commercial Digital Radio station although
only available in metro areas up until now. Recognising the need to
do something different than the norm, Radar was conceived to help
artists get heard, bringing music lovers the latest music from
Australia and around the world.
Radar is all about
championing new music and new artists of all genres. There is
strong support of Australian artists, especially those who do not
currently receive mainstream airplay.
