		Bill Caralis, Chairman of the Super Network, responded to this story by saying: "How could the most unprofessional, high spending and troublemaking Manager and Sales Manager I have ever had work for me in any of my 36 stations make such slanderous and inaccurate comments. They are both no longer in the radio industry having departed over 4 years ago, what is their motive, just plain jealousy or is it because they can’t buy the stations from me on behalf of some of their friends. We don’t have this problem in other markets, just Newcastle and I am not going to be bluffed or stood over by these morons. I have every confidence that Guy Ashford will maintain 2HD’s very strong presence as market leader in its target demographic in the Newcastle market and lift New FM’s performance. I am in for the long haul and now even more determined to see 2HD and New FM achieve further success."
